The Band was formed sometime during the ending years of the 20:th century. The bands first name was"Distfist", which they soon changed to "Gents de Sports". According to them this was a great name, but it was kind of hard to pronounce without a major in french.
This is their story
Kalle and Matte had been having plans to form a band for some time, but the problem was that they were in need of some sort of a rehearsal-space. After some searching they found one at "Fryshuset" and now the next problem occured, they were only two, which is to few to start a real band. At that time they recruited Anders to play the bass, but they still needed someone to play the drums. They came to think of Mange with whom they had been playing with a few times back in the good old days in Nyköping. What they didn´t think of was that Mange was´nt what you could call a great drummer. In the beginning they didnt even have any drums, so they had to borrow an old drum-machine (drumulator) from a friend who was into electronica. After a few rehearsals "The Drumulator" ran out of beats so they decided to invest in some really cheap drums.
Now to the next problem, Manges limited drumming skills started to feel like a problem and they decided that they needed a more competent drummer. That´s why they talked a sceptical Tobbe in to at least give it a try. He remained..............
This line-up, with Kalle singing and playing the guitar, Mange and Matte both on guitar, Anders playing the bass and Tobbe behind the drums, was kept intact until march 2004. The only thing that changed was that Kalle quit playing the guitar and concentrated on his singing
Because you couldn´t play after 11 pm nor drink beer at "Fryshuset" , the band soon got tired of that place and after some time a new one was found at "Skogskyrkogården". Here they could drink their beer and play at any hour and this is where the band has rehearsed until this day, altough they now are interested in finding a better and cheaper place in a near future.
In march of 2004, Anders had to quit the band beacause he had both his family and his job in Nyköping. He left his last rehearsal very quickly (theres rumours of several men in tears, but these are un-confirmed). The band now had an urgent need for a new bass-player.
Diddi (the brother of mange) was recruited to take Anders place and they felt that a namechange would be suitable. Thats why they from now on goes by the name ErrorErrorDie......
It is now 2006 and some changes in the line-up has been made. The band is sad to announce that their faithful guitar-man, Magna, has left them for some further adventures. He has been offered a glamorous job North of Stockholm and that was an offer he just couldn´t refuse. The band will always remember the wonderful days they´ve spent together and will miss him in a way words couldn´t even describe. As in many situations in life, EED is suffering from some mixed feelings, beacause this isn´t just a sad story. The Band is happy to inform you that they have found a very very suitable replacement for Magna. The name of this brave man is Fredrik [better known as "Skyla"] and to put it in Magnas words, there´s no more suitable guy around. So with a warm farewell to Magna and a warm welcome to Skyla EED continues into the future....................
